York County History Center Estate Planning Seminar

Let’s be honest, estate planning isn’t the most enticing topic to spend your free time on. The last thing you want to do after a long week is to dive into the depths of the internet to attempt to understand what an estate plan actually is and why you need one. Even if you do get that far, it’s hard to know where even to begin to start making an estate plan.

Can you write one yourself? Do you have to hire a lawyer? What information do you even need?

The York County History Center will host a free “Lunch and Learn” program unraveling the mystery of estate planning presented by Attorney Tom Shorb and Brad Jacobs, York Co. Register of Wills/Clerk of Orphans’ Court.

  • Reasons Why You Need an Estate Plan
  • Basic Estate Planning Documents
  • Incorporating Charitable Giving in Your Estate Plan
  • Common Mistakes in Estate Planning (and how to avoid them!)

Free parking is available. To register, please RSVP to Terri Altland, Director of Development via phone 717-848-1587 ext 216 or taltland@yorkhistorycenter.org
