The world of finance regulation may not apply directly and exactly to the operations and practices of economic development organizations, but it certainly has influenced how they think and how they may interact with other financing partners. Confidentiality concerns, privacy fears, independent third party certification requirements, and the ability or inability to hide one’s credit standing and history are all factors in CEDO underwriting and portfolio management requirements, too. This training will focus on fluently reading credit reports and other searches such as tax lien searches, bankruptcy records and property reports to meet DCED policies as well as protect your loan portfolio.
Stock and Leader’s Ron Hershner will participate as the attorney in panel of experts which will also include a banker, a credit report vendor, and a DCED representative.
Register by April 13th to be included on the attendee list.
Attention Certified Economic Development Organizations: This course is approved to provide 3.00 organizational PDUs (Finance) as explained in the Guidelines for Certification of Economic Development Organizations issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and in PEDI’s Policies and Procedures.
