About Devon M. Schoonover
Devon Schoonover grew up in rural northwestern Pennsylvania during the drilling and exploration of the Marcellus Shale area, which ignited his interest in real estate law. He earned his undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2016 and his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 2020.
Devon was an editor for the Duquesne Business Law Journal, a member of the Military Law Society, the Corporate Law Society, and the Trial Advocacy Competition Team. Additionally, he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.
Devon intentionally sought internships and clerk positions that fueled his passion for real estate law. While interning at Neighborhood Attorneys, LLC, in Washington, PA, he assisted with commercial real estate assignments in rezoning, subdividing, filing permit applications, and working with regulatory agencies. He clerked at the Somerset County Court of Common Pleas and was a certified legal intern for the Duquesne University Veterans Clinic. In Pittsburgh, Devon clerked at PC Law Associates, LLC, preparing and reviewing residential real estate closing documents.
Since 2014, Devon has served his country in the PA Army National Guard and currently ranks as a First Lieutenant.
