About Alexandria M. Hodge

Alexandria (Ali) Hodge is an Associate in the School Law Group and joins Stock and Leader following years as a public school teacher. She is involved in all aspects of the firm’s school law practice, including policy review, employment relations, and special education.

Ali grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a proud graduate of Omaha Central High School, and credits her later academic success to the strong public education she received there. Ali earned a bachelor’s degree in writing and English studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master’s degree in education from the University College London Institute of Education, where she graduated with research distinction. Ali also holds a master’s degree in interdisciplinary education studies and a graduate certificate in urban education policy from Johns Hopkins University School of Education.

Ali’s passion for public education ultimately led her to law school. She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She was an Associate Editor for Law Forum, a semi-finalist in the 2022 National Tax Moot Court Competition, and was the President of the Board of Advocates. Ali was a clerk with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Juvenile Division; the Maryland Office of the Attorney General serving the Maryland Department of Education; Stock and Leader’s School Law Division; and the administrative law judges at the Office of Hearings and Appeals in the United States Department of Education. Upon graduation, Ali was awarded a Dean’s Citation for Service to the University of Baltimore School of Law and the Platinum Pro-Bono Award for her more than eighty hours of pro-bono service to low-income members of the community.
