Wolf Administration Picks Chiaruttini for Chief Counsel Position

We are pleased to announce that Attorney Alexandra Chiaruttini has been selected to serve as the Chief Counsel of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection by the Wolf administration. Chosen for her knowledge, experience and understanding of the agency, Attorney Chiaruttini will be responsible for oversight and management of the agency’s 75+ attorneys in 7 offices across the state. As Chief Counsel, Chiaruttini will be the lead environmental attorney providing legal counsel to the Governor, DEP Secretary and Executive Staff regarding legislation, regulation, policy, permitting and enforcement actions.

Concurrently, Stock and Leader will welcome Attorney Martin R. Siegel to the firm. Attorney Siegel brings 22 years of environmental law experience at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection where he served as an Assistant Regional Counsel in the Southcentral Regional Office.  Attorney Siegel has also worked with Federal agencies including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, and for the Department of Energy at the Hanford nuclear site in Washington State.  Attorney Siegel has a Masters degree in Public Health from John’s Hopkins, is a certified mediator, and an experienced environmental litigator.  With Attorney Siegel’s leadership, Stock and Leader will continue to provide excellent environmental counsel to the firm’s local, regional and national clients.
