Stock and Leader, LLP is pleased to announce the unanimous election of Attorney Kristen R. McGuire to the partnership, effective January 1, 2025.
Kristen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and her Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University in 2017. Upon graduation, she joined Stock and Leader and has since been a key member of the Estates Practice Group. Throughout her career, Kristen has provided counsel and advocacy for individuals regarding wealth preservation and succession planning. She regularly appears before the Orphans’ Court and assists clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced medical directives, and estate and trust administration.
Since joining the firm in 2017, Kristen has volunteered her time and expertise to Wills for Heroes, a program that provides free estate planning documents to veterans and first responders. In 2023, she stepped up to serve as the York County Coordinator of the program. Her dedication was not unnoticed. In 2024, the Pennsylvania Bar Association recognized Kristen for her pro bono work, including her contributions to the Wills for Heroes initiative.
Kristen is involved in various community and nonprofit organizations and currently serves on the boards of Turning Point Counseling and Advocacy Center and the Margaret E. Moul Home. Beginning in 2025, she joins the Board of Directors for the York County Bar Association. Kristen is an active member of Leave A Legacy© York County and the York County Estate Planning Council, which she chaired in 2023.
