During the summer of his final year in undergraduate school, Peter Ruth interned at the law firm of Stock and Leader, Attorneys at Law. After completing law school, he returned full time as an associate to assist the firm’s Real Estate and Municipal Groups in 2012. Recently, the firm welcomed Peter as a partner at Stock and Leader.
Throughout his practice, Peter has provided counsel and advocacy to residential, industrial, and commercial real estate clients regarding tax assessments, tenant/landlord laws, title insurance, and distressed property sales. Additionally, he serves as solicitor to multiple townships, boroughs, and authorities, counseling them on general government practices. He currently serves as the solicitor to the Realtors® Association of York and Adams Counties, and the York County Assessment and Tax Claim Office, a position he has held for four years.
Outside of the office, Peter is involved with several community and nonprofit organizations, most recently as past president of Leadership York. He is also a 2012 graduate of the Leadership York Training Program.
Recognizing Peter’s commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and community service, the Central Penn Business Journal named him one of Central Pennsylvania’s Forty Under 40 award recipients in 2018. In 2019, Peter was named to Pennsylvania’s Rising Star List, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of all Pennsylvania attorneys.
