There’s a new leader taking the reins of the YWCA York Junior Board, and it just so happens to be Attorney Kate Hynes.
A transplant from Brookville, PA, Kate initially joined the YWCA’s Jr. Board in 2012 as a way to get to know York City and other young professionals in the area. However, as she learned more about the organization and its mission, her initial plan quickly transformed into a full-time passion for fostering female empowerment, racial justice, and community advancement. That’s why four years later, her fellow board members recognized Kate for her ambition, dedication, and inherent leadership abilities, by electing her President of the YWCA Jr. Board in June 2016.
“The YWCA has a mission that is close to my heart and does incredible work in the community. I am honored to begin my service as the YWCA Junior Board President and look forward to serving my community in this capacity,” said YWCA Jr. Board President and Stock and Leader Attorney Kate Hynes.
When she’s not busy with her community involvement efforts, Attorney Hynes is working hard at building her legal practice and counseling clients in the areas of business and commercial transactions, business planning, intellectual property, and commercial real estate and finance.
