Stock and Leader, Attorneys at Law, is pleased to announce that Devon M. Schoonover has joined the firm as an Associate in the Real Estate law group.
Devon grew up in rural northwestern Pennsylvania during the drilling and exploration of the Marcellus Shale area, which ignited his interest in real estate law. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law.
During law school, Devon intentionally sought internships and clerk positions that fueled his passion for real estate law. While interning at Neighborhood Attorneys, LLC, in Washington, PA, he assisted with commercial real estate assignments in rezoning, subdividing, filing permit applications, and working with regulatory agencies. He clerked at the Somerset County Court of Common Pleas and was a certified legal intern for the Duquesne University Veterans Clinic. In Pittsburgh, Devon clerked at PC Law Associates, LLC, preparing and reviewing residential real estate closing documents.
Since 2014, Devon has also served his country in the PA Army National Guard and currently ranks as a First Lieutenant.
