School Law Attorney

Stock and Leader, York County’s premier law firm, is comprised of sixty-five professionals and support staff providing legal services to businesses, individuals, and governmental entities across a broad range of civil law practice areas.

Stock and Leader is expanding the practice to include a full-time Associate position with at least two (2) years of experience for the School Law Group, which currently services 20 school districts in 5 counties. The ideal candidate will have interest or expertise in advising school districts or municipalities, including in areas such as in labor and employment, Right to Know Law, Sunshine Law, special education, student discipline, and constitutional law. Other desirable interest or experience includes knowledge of or interest in working with various administrative bodies, including the Bureau of Special Education, Office for Dispute Resolution, Office of Civil Rights, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, and federal and state courts is desired. The position will entail specific support of the special education sub-specialty, both with proactive work for school districts and litigation defense in administrative hearings and federal appeals.
