On November 9, 2009, the Commonwealth announced grant awards to 165 small businesses statewide for design and implementation of energy saving measures.
The Commonwealth's Small Business Energy Efficiency grant program focuses on businesses with fewer than 100 employees and awards up to $25,000 per project. The Small Business Energy Efficiency grant program was created under the $650 million Alternative Energy Investment Fund (passed in July 2008) and sponsored by York County Rep. Eugene DePasquale. Since its inception, 218 companies are expected to save approximately $22 million over the life of the new technologies incorporated into their businesses.
Stock and Leader provided counsel and assisted a growing York County company, in preparing the grant application that secured the funding necessary for the purchase and installation of energy efficient lighting, structural insulation, HVAC systems, and windows to conserve energy. We congratulate our client in the receipt of this grant award.
