About Timothy K. McHugh
Mr. McHugh is a member of the firm’s School Law Group focusing his practice in the areas of public education, including student discipline, special education, and employment law.
Prior to joining Stock and Leader, Mr. McHugh taught social studies at high schools in York and Cumberland Counties as well as Owings, Maryland. During his 15 year teaching career, he gained a unique perspective into school district operations through his work in implementing district policies on student discipline and developing student-based accommodations such as Individualized Education Programs and Section 504 plans.
Assuming dual roles as both a teacher and student, Mr. McHugh enrolled in law school while maintaining his position as a public school educator throughout the duration of his studies. In 2013, he graduated cum laude from the Widener University School of Law where he was named the recipient of the John A. Fillion Memorial Award for excellence in the field of labor and employment law.
